The photos of Wayne were taken in the heart of Silicon Valley during a Haircuts of Hope event where we spread the word about Seeds of Hope Silicon Valley.
Just like this simple haircut can have a transformative impact on someone, we can transform the bigger homelessness challenge with some simple, proven solutions that we are putting in place.
The chronically homeless need community
People who have been homeless for a year or more can recover when they can live in a permanent housing community. A house alone will not resolve the issue. The fabric of human support from a strong community is required. That’s the core of our solution.
Our Mission
Seeds of Hope is developing a large-scale master-planned permanent community in Silicon Valley for chronically homeless residents. It is based on the proven models currently used at Community First! Village in Austin, Texas and Goodness Village in Livermore, California.
Progress so far
We have support from local businesses, philanthropists and civic leaders. We have identified several properties and are working with State and Local governments to secure the approvals to build our first community.
